  • Deadline for submitting manuscripts is August 15, 2011.
  • Maximum 500 words, including required subheadings, excluding references, which are not required
  • Do not include any identifying information in the body of the abstract; abstracts must not reference a named facility or author(s).
  • Research and Evidence-Based Practice abstracts will be accepted
    Research Abstracts
    - Introduction: problem and its significance
    - Purpose: research question/problem
    - Methods: study design and procedures
    - Results: research findings
    - Implications: clinical meaningfulness
    Evidence-Based Practice Abstracts
    - Problem: clinical/practice issue and why it is a concern
    - Evidence: supporting literature and other evidence
    - Implementation: how changes were incorporated into practice
    - Outcomes: indicators/outcomes measured
    - Recommendations: lessons learned
  • Requirements for onsite display include:
    - Poster presenters must be registered for the conference. The primary presenting author will receive a reduced registration rate.
    - Posters should be 36” x 60” tri-fold or mounted on foam board
    - Presenters must be present to defend their posters in the Poster Gallery during designated times.
  • The presenting authors of posters selected for presentation will be notified by September 15, 2011.
