Can you help me with the following? Do you have a policy that addresses daily bathing of patients with CHG if they have a central line? Do any of you use Lippincott , how is it addressed with Lippincott? Renae Taylor, CNO, Southeastern Health

Hi, Renae. My facility does have a policy - daily bathing for all patients with a central line. We chose to have them done at 6pm every night if the patient not showered that day and right after the shower if they have been.

We require CHG bathing on every patient in our ICU's whether or not they have a central line. We do not specify when specifically the bath should occur.
